Technical project design for UK new build

QCIC were commissioned to develop the security system design for a complex new build project. We provided specialist security consultancy services from the initial design phase through to construction and finally supported the client with moving into the new premises.

Strategy/process taken during the project

From our initial “discovery” meetings on site, QCIC produced a detailed security design based on the agreed design standards. We developed a tender package for approved contractors submitting proposals and we technically evaluated the responses. On the tender award, we worked alongside the project team to provide support and coordination to the team, as well as managed design changes.

During the installation phase, QCIC provided technical oversight and project management services for the installation. We provided all commissioning and system programming schedules, as well as confirmation that all security systems were installed to the client’s agreed specification.

Outcome

We were able to provide dedicated support throughout each phase of the project, and after completion continued to provide ongoing support. On the completion of the project, we witness tested the systems and provided the relevant handover documentation to the client.

As a result of the success of this project, we have been retained as the preferred partner and our client has adopted QCIC project methodologies across all future projects.
