About the role
The Security Installation/Service engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems and equipment. This includes working with various technologies such as IP video management systems, access control systems, intrusion detection systems, and other related hardware and software. The installation manager will ensure systems are functioning optimally and provide technical support to clients and colleagues.
What you will do
- Install and configure security systems including IP video management systems, access control systems, alarm systems, and other security-related devices
- Integrate security systems with existing networks and ensure proper connectivity and functionality
- Perform routine maintenance checks and upgrades on security systems to ensure optimal performance
- Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues in a timely manner
- Respond to emergency repair requests and provide on-site support as needed
- Provide technical support and training to clients on the operation and maintenance of security systems
- Address customer inquiries and resolve technical problems promptly
- Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs
- Prepare detailed reports on system performance and any issues encountered
- Ensure all installations and services comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all installations and repairs.
What we are looking for
- 5+ years’ experience in a security installation role.
- Proficiency in installing and configuring IP Video management systems, access control systems, and alarm systems.
- Strong understanding of networking principles and IP-based security systems.
- Experience with various security software and hardware tools.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to identify and meet project deadlines and deliverables
- Experienced and qualified in at least one of the leading Access Control and Video Management manufacturer’s products (CCURE, Lenel, Genitec, Milestone, Avigilon etc.)
