Senior Design Consultant

What you will do
Lead on the design of comprehensive security solutions that integrate physical security, access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection measures to mitigate identified risks.
Develop detailed security design documentation, including system specifications, architectural drawings, schematics, and installation plans, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Act as a project manager to ensure the design development through the stages meets client requirements and all deadlines are met, as well as maintain records, meeting minutes, and technical material.
Be able to communicate clearly with clients and ensure an understanding of their business objectives, security requirements, and budgetary constraints, providing expert guidance and recommendations.
Be able to lead meetings, present, and report consisely where required.
Support business growth and new work by being able to prepare financial proposals and present them to the client.
Be comfortable with cross-functional interactions (technical, operations, BD, marketing, etc.) and work with these teams to create a team environment and promote an effective workplace
Participate in promoting the business and the team externally contributing to thought leadership and attending industry events if appropriate.
Continually ensure that practices, policies, strategy, and services represent the client’s and the Company’s best interests and that Company policy is in keeping with current legislation and standards.
Contribute to processes, procedures, and lessons learned to ensure there is effective and continuous improvement.
What we are looking for
Experience in deliverable requirements for the 5 core AIA design phases (i.e. Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding, and Construction Administration).
10+ years in a consultancy business focusing on security design.
Proven portfolio of work completed on a complex and sizeable scale.
Formalised Security design qualification.
Experienced in protective security aspects is preferable.
Experienced in design risk management methodology.
Ability to identify and meet project deadlines and deliverables.
Experience with producing technical reports.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must with the ability to present to key stakeholders.
Commercial awareness and an understanding of the importance of meeting budgets.
Ability to work independently with excellent decision-making skills.
Experience in deliverable requirements for the 5 core AIA design phases (i.e. Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding, and Construction Administration).
