About the role
Embedded with one of our global clients you will work within the security team to proactively and innovatively prevent or mitigate risk while protecting company assets and be prepared to respond appropriately and professionally when required. The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) is the centralised hub for critical issues. These issues can occur globally, and the role of the security analyst will be to compile, analyse and respond appropriately and timeously.
Using various technical security systems and monitoring software, the security analyst is responsible for detecting, triaging, and alerting routine and critical security incidents.
What you will do
Event Analysis
- Responsible for collecting and converting raw information into finished intelligence supporting corporate security and other departments
- Work with cross-company partners to understand risk trends and provide relevant insights and recommendations to enable informed decisions safeguarding colleagues, business, and reputation
- Gather and review global event intelligence
- Analyse the potential impact of global events
- Identify, initiate, and coordinate the appropriate response and notification to senior management and crisis management teams
- Keeps accurate log of events and incidents
- Lead detailed assessments based on open-source data, partner information, or other research methods to support business decision-making
Travel Security
- Support the travel security program to include the development of travel risk assessments and briefings
- Develop regional expertise as necessary to discern trends and warnings and provide an accurate understanding of present and future threats
- Monitor and respond to any incident involving a company employee on business travel as prescribed in company SOP
Incident Response
- Monitor security issues and alert leaders to developments and their potential impact on the business
- Support disaster recovery and preparedness efforts to mitigate, prepare, respond to and recover from significant events and incidents that impact the client
- Develop and maintain a complete understanding of daily security operations, including but not limited to; incident assessment, validation, and escalation and resolution
- Provide emergency support globally
- Monitor and respond to all company intrusion/fire alarms with priority following company SOP
- Monitor and respond to any incident involving company freight in transit
Security Technology Support
- Assist with the provisioning and de-provisioning of badge access
- Troubleshoots security system software issues and escalates as appropriate
- Perform security system device audits
- Ad hoc tasks as required
