About the role
QCIC is seeking a Physical Security Project Manager to fulfill a role within our ‘BUILD’ team. The role has arisen due to global growth and a desire to expand our US business to enable us to further build on client relationships and service new opportunities. The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of the security industry and of enterprise-level systems both technically and commercially. The project manager will report directly to an account lead and will be responsible for the planning, execution and delivery of projects on time and to budget.
What you will do
Lead on the planning, initiation, and execution of projects
Define project goals and deliverables in collaboration with the stakeholders and ensure clear project timelines and milestones are established
Develop project plans including budgets and resources to ensure successful execution
Drive deliverables and actions with both the client team, local service providers, and within QCIC
Provide regular updates to the client stakeholders raising risks and issues and put forward solutions
Manage project management software and be able to adapt to different systems if needed
Stakeholder management – manage multiple stakeholders within the client, lead meetings, build strong relationships with excellent communication and engagement skills
Vendor management – manage multiple external vendors and suppliers ensuring timely delivery and a quality service
Monitor governance – ensure all projects comply with any local requirements/laws and all project documentation is completed including H&S related, contracts, etc
Develop post-project procedures to evaluate performance and ensure a cycle of continuous improvement
Actively participate in improving all quality and internal processes
Generate proposals with technical and commercial considerations
Compile technical documentation when required
Contribute to competitive RFPs in line with clients’ requirements in needed
What we are looking for
Proven project management skills with the ability to lead multi-discipline (security) global programs across a range of enterprise security solutions
Demonstrated work experience within the physical security industry of 10 years+
Commercial awareness with the ability to understand quotes and prepare proposals
Ability to control budgets, work to approved profit levels, recognise and raise variations to both the project scope and quoting accordingly
Experience with both CCTV/ACS projects and a broad understanding of either Genetec/Software House/Lenel would be preferable
Ability to multi-task and work effectively on multiple projects
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively
Ability to put together effective reports for senior management and the client
Ability to work independently with excellent decision-making skills
