About the Role
QCIC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of project and problem management services for our clients. Reporting to a Project Manager, the successful candidate will assist in coordinating project activities, bringing together the appropriate teams, tools, and information to support successful project outcomes.
The team works simultaneously on several projects, so the ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
What you will do
Project delivery:
Support the successful delivery of projects from design through to deployment, helping to ensure projects are completed within agreed deadlines and budgets, and escalating potential issues in line with internal procedures.
Support the management and coordination of security system design and upgrade projects across multiple client accounts.
Work effectively both independently and under the direction of a Project or Program Manager.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary global teams to deliver project objectives.
Communicate with clients and stakeholders, participating in meetings and documenting actions and outcomes.
Support the ongoing review of practices, policies, strategies, and services to ensure they align with client requirements, company objectives, current legislation, international standards, and industry codes of practice.
Assist with project documentation, scheduling, reporting, and tracking of deliverables.
Commercial:
Support project budget tracking and financial reporting activities.
Assist with procurement and delivery tracking.
Assist with resource planning and coordination across projects.
Contribute to the preparation of project status reports, including progress updates, risks, issues, and financial performance for Account Managers and Senior Management.
Prepare regular updates for key stakeholders on project progress, achievements, risks, and dependencies.
Liaise with client IT and Network teams to support software deployment activities.
Support the preparation of responses to competitive RFPs and client proposals.
Assist in maintaining governance, documentation, and controls across multiple projects.
Contribute technical and commercial input to proposal development.
Actively participate in initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and internal processes.
What we are looking for
Qualifications:
Experience supporting the delivery of projects within a corporate security environment. This experience may have been gained through an integrator, consultancy, or client-side environment.
Strong organisational, coordination, and multitasking skills.
Ability to work effectively within complex stakeholder environments and support project activities in a professional and efficient manner.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project (desirable).
Exposure to security systems such as Genetec, CCURE, Lenel, or similar platforms would be advantageous.
