International Women’s Day 2026 & QCIC

5 March 2026 · By QCIC

“Broader perspectives strengthen our work. A little balance strengthens us.”

Today we recognise the women across QCIC, in engineering, design, operations, support functions and leadership, whose work strengthens our business every day.

In a sector that has traditionally been male dominated, their contribution, expertise and commitment matter enormously.

At QCIC, we work in environments where standards are high and the stakes are real. We deliver and run systems that protect people, assets and infrastructure across the globe. That responsibility demands a breadth of thinking, experience and judgement. When perspectives are limited, outcomes can be too.

That is one of the reasons International Women’s Day matters to us. This year’s theme, #GiveToGain, is a simple but powerful one.

Women in engineering and security have not always had equal access to the networks, sponsors and informal support structures that often influence careers. Recognising that allows us to be intentional about creating opportunity.  It is about fairness and about building teams that reflect the clients and markets we serve globally.

International Women’s Day gives us a moment to pause and reflect but the responsibility extends beyond a single date.  Real progress is shaped by what we do consistently.

I encourage each of us to consider what we can give in time, support, sponsorship or encouragement, that might make a different to someone’s progression this year.
