About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Risk Analyst (Physical security) with junior to mid-level experience in physical security environments. The ideal candidate will assist in evaluating and assessing the security needs of various sites globally, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending strategies to mitigate potential risks. Additionally, your expertise in analysing safety procedures and identifying potential risks will allow you to continuously improve and enhance security protocols. This role will be located within our DESIGN team, where the successful candidate will work with Senior Consultants, Associates, and Associate Directors on a variety of different projects throughout a range of different project environments.
What you will do
Analyse existing security measures, including access control, surveillance, and personnel protocols.
Provide support with regular safety and security audits to identify potential hazards or vulnerabilities and create action plans to address them.
Working with our suitably Qualified Security Specialist (SQSS) to assist in preparing detailed assessment reports, including findings, risks, and actionable recommendations.
Coordinate with external agencies, such as law enforcement and fire departments, to ensure effective emergency response and incident management.
Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements in safety and security to improve protocols and procedures continuously.
Investigate and report on safety and security incidents, including accidents, theft, vandalism, or unauthorised access, and recommend corrective actions.
Stay updated on physical security best practices, emerging threats, and industry standards.
Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of implemented security solutions and recommend improvements.
What we are looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, Security Risk Management, or a related field (preferred).
1–3 years of experience in physical security, risk assessments, or a similar role
Basic understanding of physical security principles and technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address potential risks and vulnerabilities.
Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and client interaction.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with security assessment tools.
NB: The successful candidate will be required to pass our security screening procedures.
