About the role
The role will involve intricate technical knowledge of a range of security systems including but not limited to Genetec, CCURE and Lenel and hours may fluctuate as support will be required in multiple regions within QCIC’s jurisdiction.
What you will do
Project Delivery:
Overall responsibility for ensuring that projects are completed from design through to deployment within agreed deadlines, within budget and any potential issues escalated in line with internal policy whilst maintaining the clients’ best interests
Lead on providing a professional security design service to clients following standards
Oversee and take responsibility for the preparation of concept and preliminary strategy solutions for detail design
Project manage a range of projects in relation to security system design and upgrades across
multiple clients and internal departments
Liaise with clients on a technical level and plan for future deployments
Act as a point of escalation for the group both technically and operationally
Work competently on an independent basis
Work collaboratively in a multidiscipline global team
Communicate directly with clients and actively participate/lead meetings
Continually ensure that practices, policies, strategy, and services represent the client’s and the Company’s best interests, and that Company policy is in keeping with current legislation, International Standards and Codes of Practice etc.
Design Automator:
Review and approve all Design fee proposals and ensure all internal systems are updated
Manage budgets for the projects within the department
Be able to report clearly on the progress and financials of the team and prepare weekly reporting
Management of technical resources and ensuring engineer productivity and output is quality checked
Be able to confidently deploy software in enterprise environments
Liaise with client IT/Networks leads for software deployments
Lead on competitive RFP’s in line with client’s requirements
Provide oversight and governance for multiple projects
Generate proposals with technical and commercial considerations
Actively participate in improving quality and internal processes
Support the business development team with technical enquiries
Report regularly into key stakeholders on project progress identifying achievements and risks
Business Development:
Participate in marketing QCIC professional services internally and externally to showcase services on offer.
Complete single-page CV for marketing/submissions and update regularly.
Participate in team marketing activities.
What we are looking for
Have knowledge and experience in the practical design and implementation of electronic and security systems.
Experienced and qualified in at least one of the leading Access Control and Video Management manufacturer’s products (CCURE, Lenel, Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon etc).
Experience in the delivery of data migration and database management would be beneficial.
Familiarisation and have experience of working electronic security system upgrades and migrations.
The ability to identify and meet project deadlines and deliverables.
Experience with producing technical reports.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external parties.
Experience with SmartSheet or other PM tools
